I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Dr. Younus Ismail for bestowing upon me the opportunity to be the chairperson for the 10th annual retreat of JSMUAANA in Houston TX.
I am extremely appreciative to all the participants who took time off from their busy life to attend the event and make it a success.
I would also like to thank my team members for providing me with their unconditional support, tireless efforts, and invaluable suggestions for making this reunion a memorable event.
During these four days, we arranged multiple events to keep our guests engaged. Be it the cruise on the bay or the Qawwali night and banquet night in the hotel ballroom and the live telecasted T20 match Pakistan v/s Scotland on the last day of the reunion. Amongst the numerous activities, we also had a well-attended 30th reunion of the class of 89/90 batch. We have provided 8 hours of CME, participation of our guests, satisfying our choice of events which most of the guests have thoroughly enjoyed.
I am most content about the fact that we raised $150,000.00 during our gala dinner to establish a genetic lab in our college that we all remember so fondly. This effort will go a long way in providing quality education to our future generations.
Being a part of SMCIAN helps me keep my spirit young and every reunion recharges me for another year till I meet my friends again. To be a part of the organizing committee this year makes me proud of my alma mater, and I will cherish this feeling and this opportunity for the rest of my life.
I look forward to meeting all of you guys again in Chicago next year.
